Funso Jolayemi described the news of Akeredolu’s death as painful, emphasizing that the church has lost a formidable pillar. The late governor’s involvement in choir activities, Harvest Planning Committee, Memorial Parks and Garden, and his recent election as a trustee showcased his unwavering commitment to All Saints Church.
While acknowledging the mixed emotions surrounding Akeredolu’s death, Ven. Jolayemi stated, “We reluctantly agreed with God that he had gone to rest.” The cleric remembered the late governor as a godly man who openly confessed his love for God, actively participated in church affairs, and cared for everyone in the congregation.
