All Saints Church Mourns the Loss of Former Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu

Ven. Funso Jolayemi, the Minister-in-Charge of All Saints Church, Jericho, Ibadan, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu. Akeredolu was an active member of the church during his lifetime, contributing significantly to its various activities.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ibadan, Ven. Funso Jolayemi described the news of Akeredolu’s death as painful, emphasizing that the church has lost a formidable pillar. The late governor’s involvement in choir activities, Harvest Planning Committee, Memorial Parks and Garden, and his recent election as a trustee showcased his unwavering commitment to All Saints Church.

While acknowledging the mixed emotions surrounding Akeredolu’s death, Ven. Jolayemi stated, “We reluctantly agreed with God that he had gone to rest.” The cleric remembered the late governor as a godly man who openly confessed his love for God, actively participated in church affairs, and cared for everyone in the congregation.

Akeredolu’s philanthropic efforts and his willingness to share joy with those around him left a lasting impact on the church community. Ven. Jolayemi expressed confidence that Akeredolu had found eternal rest, and he concluded, “May his good soul rest in perfect peace.”
