The death toll from the explosion has risen to three, with one more victim succumbing to injuries at a hospital. The incident on Tuesday in Ibadan caused widespread confusion, resulting in two deaths and 77 injuries. Aerial footage has captured the extensive devastation, affecting numerous buildings and properties.
Governor Makinde, who visited the explosion site on Tuesday night, mentioned that preliminary investigations by security agencies indicated that explosive devices stored by illegal miners were responsible for the blast. Despite ongoing investigations, he assured that anyone found culpable would be brought to justice.
