The operations manager of BON Hotel Nest in Ibadan, Mr. Tunde Solomon, has tragically passed away due to a heart attack, believed to be a consequence of the recent explosion near the hotel. The incident, which occurred on January 16, led to the loss of more than three lives, injuring over 77 people and causing the collapse of approximately 20 houses.

In a statement shared on the hotel’s Instagram page, the management expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Mr. Solomon. Describing him as a selfless and dedicated worker with over 25 years of experience in the industry, the hotel acknowledged his significant contributions to the growth of BON Hotel Nest Ibadan and the broader BON group.

 

The statement read: “We regret to inform you of the sudden passing of our beloved Operations Manager, Mr. Tunde Solomon. Mr. Solomon suffered a heart attack on the 17th of January 2024, and it is believed that it was a consequence of the explosion that occurred on the 16th of January 2024 at Bodija.”
