Addressing journalists in Awka on Thursday, Okoli emphasized the need to shift the focus back to discussing policies aimed at improving the citizens’ well-being. He expressed worry that the ongoing disputes were overshadowing important conversations about the welfare of the people.
“The events in Anambra are no longer palatable. The conversation in the media is no longer on the wellbeing of our people. This must be checked before it degenerates to anarchy,” he cautioned.

Okoli advised Soludo to take charge and prevent appointees and propagandists from creating unnecessary tension in the state. He criticized videos depicting the alleged destruction of businesses in unapproved locations, deeming them detrimental to Anambra’s image and progress.
Highlighting the need for positive and constructive engagement to maintain peace and tranquility, Okoli urged Soludo to foster collaboration with federal lawmakers such as Ifeanyi Ubah, Tony Nwoye, and Victor Umeh to attract more development to the state.
“These people mean well, and the masses love them. Let love reign,” Okoli urged, emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus and avoiding unnecessary conflicts with respected institutions.
