During a thanksgiving service at the Government House Chapel in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori expressed gratitude to God for delivering him through the tumultuous legal battles. He extended an olive branch to his opponents, urging them to collaborate in advancing Delta State.

“This victory is a testament to our people that our God is faithful, and He alone has delivered us. As promised to Deltans, I will be the governor for all,” he declared.

Oborevwori emphasized his belief in divine ordination for his governorship and thanked the people of Delta State for their unwavering support. Reflecting on his journey, he recalled pledging before God that he would return to the altar to express gratitude with each victory.

“This victory is not about me but about the people of Delta State. The past governor’s prophecy that one who does not recognize this altar will never be governor has been honored by God,” he stated.

Having weathered 38 legal battles, Oborevwori acknowledged the intensity of his ordeal, surpassing the challenges faced even by governors with eight years in office.

Welcomed by a massive crowd upon his return from Abuja to the Asaba International Airport, the governor expressed relief that the litigation had concluded. He reassured the public of his commitment to focus on delivering on his MORE Agenda for the people.

In response to the judgment, former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa commended the trust and confidence placed in Governor Oborevwori’s leadership by the people. Likewise, ex-governor Emmanuel Uduaghan acknowledged the trying nature of the legal battles and emphasized the need to settle down fully to deliver the dividends of democracy.
