Karim Benzema Move, Manchester United Receives Warning

Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has issued a warning against the Premier League club signing Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad, stating that it could be a “PR signing” and a repetition of their previous Cristiano Ronaldo “mistake.”

Amid speculation about Benzema’s future in Saudi Arabia, United’s reported interest has drawn attention. However, Parker believes bringing in Benzema would be a move in the wrong direction for the club.

Speaking to SpilXperten, Parker expressed his concerns: “Karim Benzema would be yet another step backward. He would just be another PR signing, and Manchester United definitely doesn’t need that.”

Parker drew parallels with previous signings, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, and Cristiano Ronaldo, emphasizing that such moves would represent a recurrence of past mistakes. He cautioned against taking another step in the wrong direction for the club’s future.
