In the wake of the February 26 presidential election, Atiku, who was the PDP’s presidential candidate, along with Obi from the Labour Party (LP) and the APM, filed separate appeals at the Supreme Court, all seeking to invalidate President Tinubu’s election.

Last Thursday, the Supreme Court notified all parties about the hearing date.

Atiku’s appeal not only challenges the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), which upheld Tinubu’s election, but also requests permission to present a copy of Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University (CSU), USA. Atiku claims this document reveals that Tinubu submitted a forged CSU certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The former vice president is also seeking a court order from Washington, D.C., to have the FBI release documents related to President Tinubu’s $460,000 forfeiture case.

Nigerians and the global community are eagerly awaiting the Supreme Court’s decision, hoping that the court will uphold the rule of law, including the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution of 1999 (as amended), the Electoral Act of 2022, and INEC Guidelines and Regulations, in delivering justice in this matter.

This report is developing, more details will be shared on the SkiwordNews Telegram Channel as soon as possible.
