The group’s spokesman, Okhue Iboi, stated that Governor Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kogi State, Dino Melaye, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Bayelsa, Timipre Sylva, would face defeat in their respective elections on November 11.

Iboi emphasized that these candidates would experience significant electoral setbacks if they do not heed wise counsel.

Regarding the Imo election, Iboi projected that the battle would be primarily between the candidates of the Labour Party (LP), Athan Achonu, and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Samuel Anyanwu. This prediction contradicted speculations that the incumbency factor would favor Governor Uzodinma.

Iboi argued that Uzodinma is deeply unpopular among his people and highlighted that his ascension to the governorship was due to legal technicalities involving the Supreme Court.

Furthermore, he mentioned that there has been a significant rise in violence and bloodshed in the state, which has contributed to the negative sentiment towards Uzodinma.

Moving to Kogi State, Iboi posited that the election is essentially a contest between the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the PDP. He claimed that Governor Yahaya Bello undermined his chances by failing to field his deputy as a successor, a decision that disappointed his supporters.

Iboi mentioned that, while Governor Bello’s candidate may have had a significant advantage, his actions and advice from his advisers had turned the tide against him. He foresaw a turbulent election in Kogi but predicted that Bello would ultimately lose.

Concerning Dino Melaye, Iboi characterized him as recalcitrant and mentioned that they had invited him for discussions but found him resistant. Iboi suggested that Melaye’s pride might be his downfall in the election, cautioning that failure to heed advice could lead to a surprising outcome.

Finally, in Bayelsa State, Iboi forecasted that Timipre Sylva would not find much success in the election. He noted that the candidate had faced challenges related to his candidacy within the APC and questioned whether he would make significant progress if he secured the nomination.
