Aguero predicts tough battle in upcoming Manchester derby

Former Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, is anticipating a challenging match as Manchester City faces Manchester United in the upcoming Premier League derby on Sunday.

Aguero is confident that Manchester United will give their city rivals a tough time this weekend.

In an interview with Stake, the Argentine emphasized the significance of derbies, where the best players typically shine.

The former Barcelona forward also reflected on his own performances in these matches.

“It will be a difficult game,” Aguero stated. “Form will certainly matter, but City will put in a good performance. I don’t believe United have ever been weak.

“They’ve consistently had excellent players and have shown the ability to recover from rough patches and return to contention. Derbies are always special matches.

“They are intense experiences. I’ve been fortunate to have great memories from our matches against United, where we achieved some significant victories.

“I was able to score in those matches, and those victories set the stage for winning trophies, which is what matters most.”

Currently, Manchester City occupies the second position in the Premier League standings with 21 points from nine matches, while Manchester United is in ninth place with 15 points from the same number of games.
