FA investigates Manchester United Forward’s social media post following 1-0 win over FC Copenhagen

Manchester United’s forward, Alejandro Garnacho, is currently under investigation by the Football Association (FA) due to a social media post that followed their 1-0 victory against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Harry Maguire scored the decisive goal in the second half of the game. Despite securing the win, the Red Devils needed goalkeeper Andre Onana to make a crucial save in the last minutes, denying the opposing team a penalty.

Following the match, Garnacho posted a picture of himself celebrating with Onana, accompanied by two gorilla emojis. This post has prompted the FA to launch an investigation.

As reported by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Onana responded to the situation by stating, “People can’t choose what I should be offended by. Garnacho meant power and strength. This should go no further.”

The investigation is ongoing as the FA assesses the social media post’s intent and potential consequences.
