Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, has emphasized the commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to transparency and integrity in the selection process of new N-Power beneficiaries.
In a recent interview with Channels TV, Ms. Edu addressed concerns about the selection process favoring politically connected applicants and outlined the administration’s approach to ensure merit-based selections.

She stated, “The administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu values transparency, accountability, and integrity. In the case of N-Power, every applicant who meets the criteria for each category will be given a chance on a first-come, first-served basis.”
Ms. Edu also touched on the ministry’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged Nigerians. When questioned about the alleged hoarding of palliatives during the COVID-19 lockdown, she assured the public that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs is dedicated to a different approach.
She declared, “Nigerians can trust me, and they can trust the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are committed to ensuring the fair allocation and disbursement of resources under my leadership to provide assistance to impoverished Nigerians.”
