Abia State Governor Alex Otti appoints 24 new permanent secretaries

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has announced the appointment of 24 new Permanent Secretaries in the state’s civil service. This revelation was made through a press statement released by the Secretary to the Abia State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, on Wednesday.

The statement clarified that the appointments were the outcome of the examination interviews conducted for potential Permanent Secretaries recently. The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are as follows:

1. Ngozi Queen Obioma
2. Paul Ogwubunka
3. Uche Ukpabi Ukeje
4. Okezie Godwin Chukwudike
5. Justice Oluchi
6. Ogechi I. Maduka
7. Izuchukwu Onwughara
8. Obi-Chianakwalam
9. Agatha Chinagozi
10. Bright Adindu

The statement extended its congratulations to the newly appointed permanent secretaries and advised them to visit the office of the Secretary to the State Government to receive further directives.

It’s worth noting that in June 2023, Governor Alex Otti had suspended the former Head of Service, Onyii Wamah, and all Permanent Secretaries in the State, with only two Permanent Secretaries exempt from the mass suspension.
