IPAC encourages inclusive government in Kano State

The Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC) has called on Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to embrace an all-inclusive government by appointing members of various political parties into his cabinet. This move is aimed at fostering even development and the fair distribution of democratic benefits throughout the state.

IPAC recently conducted a project monitoring tour in Kano to assess Governor Yusuf’s performance in his first six months in office. During their visit, IPAC representatives, including leaders from various political parties in Nigeria, inspected 11 projects encompassing education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and human development.

Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), emphasized the importance of involving members of other political parties in the government. He believes that such a gesture can help bridge political divides, promote unity, and lead to further development in the state.

IPAC also commended the security situation in Kano and expressed appreciation for the efforts of government workers in driving socio-economic development in the state. Nwosu confirmed that Kano has made significant progress in delivering democratic dividends. IPAC plans to compile a comprehensive report on their findings and share it with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Assembly for review and commendation.

The project tours conducted by IPAC across Nigerian states are part of their efforts to encourage good governance and promote inclusivity in government.
