Yobe Local Government launches school enrollment campaign in collaboration with UNICEF

The Nguru Local Government Education Authority in Yobe State has embarked on a mission to revitalize and elevate the standard of education within the region.

During the launch of the 2023 Enrolment Drive and Back-to-School Campaign, in collaboration with UNICEF Maiduguri Field Office, the LG Education Secretary, Mallam Hamisu Ado Nguru, affirmed the commitment to ensuring the return of all out-of-school children, irrespective of their challenges, under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni.

To support this initiative, Hamisu highlighted that the Yobe State government had established the Education Trust Fund, aiming to intervene in providing essential educational materials for the improvement of academic activities in primary and secondary schools across the state.

Expressing gratitude to development partners such as USAID and UNICEF, among others, for their significant contributions to the education sector in the area, the Education Secretary pledged to expand and deepen collaboration for the advancement of quality education in Nguru Local Government.
