Gbenga Ogunbote optimistic about Shooting Stars’ performance against Kwara United in Ilorin

Shooting Stars’ head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, expresses confidence in his team’s ability to achieve a positive outcome in Sunday’s match.

Following their convincing 4-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes last weekend, the Oluyole Warriors approach the upcoming game with optimism. Kwara United, on the other hand, aims for a comeback after a 1-0 loss to Enyimba in their previous Nigeria Premier Football League match.

In the previous season, Shooting Stars secured a 1-0 away win against Kwara United. Ogunbote believes that, with fair officiating, his team can replicate this success in Ilorin.

“It is another ball game, and like I used to say, sometimes it is difficult to predict the game, but we will go there to represent the club to the best of our abilities, and then with good officiating, we should be able to come out with something positive,” says Ogunbote, also known as “The Oracle,” speaking to the club’s official website.

Shooting Stars currently holds the third position on the NPFL table with 13 points from seven games, while Kwara United, positioned in the bottom half of the log, has accumulated eight points from seven games.
