Imo Governor Uzodimma extends olive branch to opponents, invites collaboration for state development

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has reached out to his opponents from the recent governorship election, inviting them to join forces in advancing the state. In a state broadcast, Uzodimma stated that the people of Imo emerged as the winners, emphasizing a collective effort for progress. The governor, who secured a significant victory against contenders like Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Athan Achonu of the Labour Party, urged his challengers to view the election outcome not as a loss but as an opportunity to collaborate for the betterment of Imo State. Uzodimma’s victory was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in an off-cycle poll following a previous Supreme Court ruling.
