Leaders of both labor unions explained their participation in the strike, attributing it to the economic challenges stemming from the removal of fuel subsidy and the recent assault on NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, in Imo State.

Despite the call for nationwide compliance, our correspondent noted a varying degree of adherence in Zamfara. While some workers continued with their duties, others withdrew their services in the afternoon on Tuesday.

The level of compliance remains a focal point as the strike unfolds in Zamfara.
