Bella Shmurda appeals to Police: Release Mohbad’s body as autopsy results awaited

Renowned singer Bella Shmurda has expressed his frustration over the prolonged delay in obtaining the autopsy results for the late rapper, Mohbad. More than two months after the rapper’s passing, Shmurda, a close friend and frequent collaborator, is urging the police to release Mohbad’s body for a “befitting burial” while awaiting the autopsy findings.

Taking to his social media handle on Saturday night, Shmurda made a heartfelt plea, stating, “It’s been over 2 months since Moh died, and his body was taken in for autopsy, but yet no result. Which is fine, but please release his body. That boy needs a befitting burial and to go to rest finally. Naija police, what’s going on? We need an answer here. Where is the result? Where is his body?”

Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest the following day. In response to public demand for a thorough investigation into his sudden demise, his body was exhumed about a week later for autopsy. As the wait for the autopsy results continues, Shmurda’s plea reflects the collective sentiment of those seeking closure and a proper farewell for the late rapper.
