NiMet weather forecast, dust haze and thunderstorms expected in various states

In the North Central region, cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine are expected during the morning hours, and there is a chance of localized thunderstorms over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue, and Kogi states. In the afternoon and evening, thunderstorms are anticipated over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Niger, Kogi, Nasarawa, and Benue states.

For the southern region, NiMet predicts thunderstorms in the morning hours over parts of Ondo, Ogun, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Cross River, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers states. As the day progresses, thunderstorms with rain are expected over parts of Edo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Lagos states.

On Saturday, the forecast suggests dust haze in the northern region during the morning hours with visibility ranging from 2 kilometers to 5 kilometers. Later in the day, dust haze with similar visibility is expected over the northern region, accompanied by prospects of thunderstorms over parts of Taraba and Adamawa states.

The North Central region will experience a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine during the morning hours, with a likelihood of thunderstorms over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Niger, and Benue states. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected over parts of Kogi, Benue, the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, and Kwara states.
