Pochettino scraps rest days for Chelsea players after Newcastle loss

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has scrapped plans to give his players two days off following their 4-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle, as reported by Daily Mail.

Pochettino, who watched the game from the stands due to a touchline ban, expressed frustration after the match. Alexander Isak opened the scoring for the hosts, and Raheem Sterling equalized for the Blues. However, Chelsea struggled in the second half, with captain Reece James receiving a red card and Thiago Silva contributing to what Pochettino described as an “easy win” for Newcastle.

“These games make me very, very, very, very angry,” Pochettino remarked. “We have to show personality and character. We cannot play this type of football. Newcastle were not great but got an easy win.”
