Nigeria National League (NNL) firm on October 28 season kick-off date

The Nigeria National League (NNL) remains unwavering in its commitment to commence the 2023/24 season on the scheduled date of Saturday, October 28. This statement was reaffirmed by Dr. Ayo Abdulrahman, the Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

Dr. Abdulrahman emphasized that the NNL’s board is resolute in adhering to the pre-established calendar of events as initially agreed upon during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Jos.

Furthermore, he conveyed that the NNL has set a clear deadline for participating clubs, providing them until Wednesday, October 16, 2023, to meet all the required club licensing prerequisites. The NNL is taking measures to ensure that every aspect is meticulously addressed to prevent any hindrances to the planned season kickoff.

Dr. Abdulrahman expressed the organization’s expectations for participating clubs to prioritize the specified start date as they proceed with their registration process. The NNL has made it unequivocal that if clubs fail to meet their obligations and submit all required registration materials by the designated date, the NNL cannot be held accountable for any resulting consequences.
