Katsina United’s management takes action following NPFL sanction over dressing code violation

Katsina United’s management is set to implement disciplinary measures against the club’s technical crew for a dressing code violation during their match against Sporting Lagos in the NPFL (Nigeria Premier Football League) fixture.

The Ikon Allah Boys incurred a hefty fine of N1 million from the league body as a consequence of the inappropriate dressing incident. Expressing his disappointment, the club’s chief, Rimi, deemed the oversight as unprofessional and pledged to take decisive actions against those responsible.

Rimi emphasized that both the technical crew and the team’s kits manager were well aware of the league’s dressing code, yet chose to disregard it. He underscored the potential damage such actions could inflict on the club’s reputation and the sports enthusiasts of Katsina State.

In response to the violation, Rimi declared that the implicated members of the technical crew, along with the suspended kits manager, would bear the brunt of the league-imposed fine. The commitment to upholding professionalism and adhering to league regulations remains a priority for Katsina United’s management.

It’s noteworthy that the NPFL penalized Katsina United with a N1 million fine for the improper display of player names and numbers, while the kits manager, Masudu Lawal, received a one-year ban from all NPFL activities due to his involvement in the dressing code infraction.
