Why I prefer a man who orders, not cooks – Hilda Baci

Renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, recently shared her perspective on relationships, revealing that she cannot envision dating or marrying a man with culinary skills.

In a candid statement, the former Guinness World Record holder expressed her passion for cooking and emphasized her desire not to be overshadowed in the kitchen by a partner. Baci, known for her culinary prowess, explained that her unique way of expressing love involves preparing and sending food to those she cares about, especially her significant other.

In a viral podcast circulating on social media, she stated, “I don’t want a man that knows how to cook. I don’t want it. I like cooking so much. My friends would tell you like Hilda would show you love, she will send you food. She will cook for you. That’s kind of one of the things I like to do for people that I care about, especially for my man.”

Highlighting her culinary dedication, Baci shared her enthusiasm for being awakened in the middle of the night with a request for a snack, ready to swiftly whip up a treat in the kitchen. However, her ultimate preference lies in a partner who appreciates her love language by ordering food for her.
