Nigerian Army assures transparent investigation into Tudun Biri bombing in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army has given assurances that the results of its investigation into the accidental bombing of villages in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, will be disclosed soon. General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, shared this information during a recent interview with Channels Television.

He emphasized the commitment to transparency in the investigation process, stating, “The outcome of the investigation will be made public very soon. We are sincere and fair; we want to know what truly happened to make amends. I can assure you that nothing will be thrown under the carpet.”

General Musa highlighted the importance of Nigerians taking ownership of the security challenges facing the country. He also mentioned the military’s efforts in leveraging technology to address insecurity and prevent incidents like the accidental bombing in Kaduna.

The unfortunate incident occurred in the first week of December when the Nigerian Army unintentionally bombed villages during the Maulad celebration, leading to widespread condemnation.
