Liverpool eyes Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane as potential Mohamed Salah replacement

In preparation for a potential departure of Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, has identified Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane as the club’s primary target, according to reports from the UK Mirror.

During the summer transfer window, Mohamed Salah received substantial interest from the Saudi Pro League. Despite multiple offers for the Egyptian international, Liverpool stood firm and refused to part ways with their star player.

However, it’s anticipated that these suitors will return with an even more substantial offer in the upcoming transfer window, having been thwarted in their efforts earlier when Liverpool turned down a £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly bracing himself for Salah’s potential departure and has set his sights on Leroy Sane as the ideal replacement.

To secure Sane’s services from Bayern Munich, Liverpool is reportedly prepared to break their current transfer record, which stands at £85 million, and was spent on Darwin Nunez.

Leroy Sane is currently in his fourth season with Bayern Munich, having joined the German club in a £54.8 million deal from Manchester City in 2020.
