Workers express frustration as N35,000 wage relief reportedly halted by FG

The Federal Workers Forum (FWF) has raised concerns over the alleged cessation of the N35,000 wage relief promised by the Federal Government to mitigate the economic impact of the fuel subsidy removal. According to the FWF, only one month’s payment has been made out of the promised six months, leaving workers in a difficult situation. Comrade Andrew Emelieze, the National Coordinator of FWF, expressed disappointment, emphasizing that the stagnant minimum wage of N30,000 amid soaring prices has created financial distress for federal workers. The workers feel betrayed by the government and are calling for fair treatment and timely wage relief.
