This directive was communicated during the passing out parade ceremony for the newly recruited officers held in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, with Deputy Comptroller Momoh Aliyu representing the Comptroller. A total of 190 officers were officially inducted into the service during the event.

The Comptroller, speaking through Deputy Comptroller Momoh Aliyu, delivered a straightforward message to the new officers, stating, “Avoid bribery in the course of your duties. If you are caught in the act, you will be dismissed from the service.”
While extending congratulations to the freshly recruited officers and welcoming them to the Nigeria Immigration Service, Shamsuddin urged them to exhibit submissiveness, good behavior, and loyalty to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He highlighted the importance of the induction process as the initial step for the officers to gain prior knowledge of their roles within the NIS.
