Tornadoes display grit in comeback victory over Heartland, Coach Mohammed applauds effort

Niger Tornadoes’ interim coach, Majin Mohammed, expressed praise for his team’s resilience in their comeback triumph against Heartland. Tornadoes secured a 3-2 victory after trailing by a goal at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Sunday.

Mohammed commended his players, stating, “We feel great, very, very great, kudos to the boys, they know what is at stake, that’s why you are seeing this kind of fight from them,” in remarks to the club’s media.

He emphasized the significance of the match, noting, “The two teams are struggling, and it’s now survival of the fittest, that is what you’ve seen from the boys.”

Acknowledging the perilous situation, he added, “The boys have realized that we are in danger, and the only way to get out of the danger is to wake up. Thank God we have succeeded in this one, with the maximum points, we will go back home and prepare for Sunshine Stars.”

Niger Tornadoes will face Sunshine Stars in their next league fixture.
