Accompanied by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Economy, Wale Edun, Umahi clarified that the government established this new timeline following discussions with the road’s contractor, Julius Berger Construction Company.

It’s worth noting that the initial contract was awarded in 2018 under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, with an agreed completion timeframe of 36 months. Unfortunately, this deadline wasn’t met, and Umahi attributed the delay to financial constraints. He reassured the public of the government’s dedication to ensuring the timely completion of the road.
According to Umahi, “Julius Berger had agreed to complete 15 kilometers daily because the new date was agreed upon.”
This report is developing, more details will be shared on the SkiwordNews Telegram Channel as soon as possible.
