Tinubu and Obasanjo Share Warm Embrace in Imo

In a notable moment of reconciliation, President Bola Tinubu warmly embraced and shook hands with former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday. The encounter took place during the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State in Owerri for his second term.

Tinubu and Obasanjo, who had experienced a strained relationship in the past, appeared to have mended fences leading up to the 2023 presidential election. This reconciliation gained public attention when Tinubu visited the ex-president in Ota, Ogun State.

Despite Tinubu’s visit, it’s worth noting that during the last election, Obasanjo threw his support behind the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, demonstrating that political alliances can remain diverse even amid personal reconciliations.
