BBNaija All Stars winner, Ilebaye, explains her connection with cowries on reality show

Ilebaye Odiniya, popularly known as Baye and the winner of Big Brother Naija All Stars, has offered insight into her unusual connection with cowries during the reality show. She shared that the cowries were a source of comfort and a tribute to her late brother.

During an interview on Pulse’s One On One, hosted by fellow reality star Christy O, Ilebaye addressed the rumors regarding her cowrie communication.

“I had something precious to me. Because obviously, you are supposed to have something precious when you’re doing something that you miss at home,” she explained. “The cowries were for my late brother. It has been with me, and even the baton. I have a baton on him too. I didn’t know where to keep it. I was just like, ‘Oh! Let me hold something strong.'”

She expressed that these items provided her with a sense of her late brother’s presence, helping her feel that he was still with her.

Ilebaye also expressed disappointment when she learned of CeeC’s remarks about the cowries, emphasizing the personal significance of these items during her time on the show.
