Cassper Nyovest declares Amapiano as the world’s fastest growing genre, surpassing Afrobeats

Cassper Nyovest, a prominent South African hip-hop artist, has boldly proclaimed that Amapiano, a music genre hailing from South Africa, has eclipsed Nigeria’s afrobeats to become “the fastest growing genre in the world.”

In a recent interview with Beats N Sounds, the rapper expressed his pride in having a genre that represents South Africa on the global stage.

Cassper Nyovest stated, “Amapiano is taking over the music industry in the world. It is now the most popular and fastest growing genre. It is just great for me that we finally have a sound that is representing South Africa. Because afrobeats represented Nigeria mostly. So, the fact that we have a sound that is from South Africa and it is representing where we are from, is a beautiful thing.”

However, he clarified that he has no plans to jump on the Amapiano bandwagon.
