Phyna responds to Davido’s denial: “God Knows Me”

Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, who emerged as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, has responded to Davido’s recent denial of knowing her after a social media interaction.

The controversy began when Phyna accused Davido of harboring animosity towards her after he was observed liking a tweet that criticized her.

In the aftermath of the tweet that caught Davido’s attention, Phyna took to her own social media platform to express her thoughts. She wrote, “Wetin I do @davido? Na wah oh, The hate is real….. Congratulations on your twins sha.”

Davido, in response, clarified the situation, stating, “Thank you love, but I actually don’t know who you are… and it was an honest mistake… no vex.”

Davido’s reply prompted a range of reactions from the public. Some praised him for addressing what they perceived as a clout-chasing move by Phyna, while others criticized him for seemingly denying knowledge of a reality star who had emerged as the victor of Big Brother Naija in 2022.

Phyna, undeterred by the response, took to her social media platform to share her perspective. She expressed gratitude for the fact that God knows her and added, “Make I sha go double my hustle.”

Amid this online exchange, former Big Brother Naija star Tacha offered her support and reassurance to Phyna. Tacha, through her social media platform, affirmed her knowledge of Phyna and let her know that there are many who recognize her worth despite Davido’s claims to the contrary.
