Early morning attack on Adamawa State Police Headquarters sparks panic in Yola

In the early hours of Wednesday, the Adamawa State Police headquarters faced an attack by unidentified gunmen, creating a state of panic among Yola residents.

Situated in the heart of Jimeta community, Yola North Local Government Area, the police headquarters encountered the assault, with reports indicating an intense situation.

SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, assuring that the situation was brought under control. However, the identities of the attackers remained unknown.

While some sources suggested that the assailants might be military personnel seeking revenge for the alleged killing of a military officer by the police, this information couldn’t be independently verified.
