Lt Gen Lagbaja made this commitment during the passing-out parade of the 85 Regular Recruits Intake at Depot Nigerian Army in Zaria. He presided over the event as the reviewing officer and Special Guest of Honour.

He emphasized that the graduation of 6,315 recruits represents a critical step in addressing one of the identified gaps in the Army’s strategy to combat insecurity. He assured law-abiding citizens that they would soon experience increased stability and a peaceful environment that would enable them to conduct their lawful activities.

Lt Gen Lagbaja acknowledged the multifaceted security challenges facing the nation, including insurgency in the North East, banditry and cattle rustling in the North West, farmer-herder clashes in the North Central, secessionist agitation and cultism in the South East, and militancy and vandalism in the South-South.
