Brigadier General Frank Etim, the Brigade Commander, confirmed the operation in a statement on Monday, revealing that the troops acted on credible intelligence about t#rrorist activities in the state metropolis.
The raid on the t#rrorists’ hideout, conducted in the early hours of Sunday, resulted in the capture of Mr. Awwal Bobo, 32, and Mr. Sallau Abdul, 33. The rescued victims, identified as Mrs. Fauziyya Yusuf and Mr. Abdulsallam Abubakar, were safely liberated from the clutches of their captors.
While the successful operation was commendable, General Etim mentioned that some other suspects managed to escape upon spotting the advancing troops. He assured the public that efforts are underway to track down and apprehend the fleeing cr#minals, emphasizing the commitment to maintaining security and combating cr#minal activities in the region.
