Speaker Abbas Tajudeen expresses concern over tr@gic Kaduna village bombing

Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has expressed deep concern over the tr@gic incident in Tudun Biri community, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where some villagers were k#lled by a bomb inadvertently dropped by Nigerian Army personnel during the annual Maulud celebration.

The Kaduna State Government disclosed on Monday that the Nigerian Army had taken responsibility for the incident, terming it an “unfortunate and unintended attack.”

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Speaker Abbas expressed worry about the loss of innocent lives during the lawful activities of the residents. He called for a thorough investigation by the Nigerian Army to understand the circumstances leading to such a “costly mistake.”

Tajudeen emphasized, “The Nigerian Army should leave no stone unturned to unravel what happened with a view to forestalling a repeat of such an unfortunate incident.”

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Kaduna State, especially the families affected by the tragedy. The Speaker prayed for the eternal rest of the deceased and the strength for their families to bear the loss, as well as a swift recovery for those injured in the Tudun Biri community.
