In a statement released on Tuesday by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu expressed deep sympathy for the affected families, the people, and the government of Kaduna State.
Describing the incident as “very unfortunate, disturbing, and painful,” President Tinubu conveyed his anger and grief over the tragic loss of Nigerian lives. He has directed a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the incident, urging calm among the populace while the authorities diligently examine the mishap.
The President also emphasized the need for swift and comprehensive medical attention for the surviving victims, offering prayers for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives.

It was earlier confirmed by Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, that the Army took responsibility for the airstrike, which resulted in numerous casualties on Sunday.
