Attempted abd¥ction of Nasarawa deputy governor’s aide

Eshi Auta, the personal assistant to Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, narrowly escaped an attempted abd¥ction in the Tudun Kauri area of Lafia on Wednesday night.

The assailants, whose identities remain unknown, targeted Auta as he made his way home, resulting in external injuries. Following the att@ck, Auta was promptly admitted to the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) in Lafia for medical treatment.

Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the deputy governor’s aide were determined to be non-life-threatening. After receiving necessary medical attention, Auta was discharged from the hospital.

It was reported that Auta, during the ass@ult, lost personal belongings, including his phone and other valuables. The incident underscores the prevalent security challenges in the region.
