The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has effectively thwarted a diesel smuggling operation in Oguta, Imo State, resulting in the apprehension of five individuals and the confiscation of approximately 5,500 litres of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel). Sharing details of the operation on its official Facebook page on Saturday, the NSCDC showcased images of the seized diesel containers and the four saloon cars impounded during the intervention.

The statement from the NSCDC emphasized, “The Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG SIS) arrested five suspects, impounded four saloon cars, and confiscated about 5,500 litres of suspected illegally refined AGO being transported to Onitsha from Obah Agwa autonomous community Oguta, Imo State.” This accomplishment highlights the NSCDC’s commitment to combating illegal activities and maintaining security in the region.
