CP Mohammed issued directives to Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), instructing them to deploy police personnel and operational resources strategically. Focus areas include public spaces, places of worship, recreation centers, amusement parks, and other social gathering facilities.

This announcement follows the recent prohibition of fireworks and street carnivals across the state during the festive season by the Osun Police Command.

 

The officers were further charged to rigorously adhere to and enforce the operational order specific to the season. The emphasis is on intelligence-led and highly visible policing, particularly along highways and across the entire state.

 

In a statement conveyed by the Command’s spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, CP Mohammed urged the public to engage in their lawful activities without fear and encouraged cooperation with security personnel deployed for these special assignments. He emphasized the primary objective of protecting lives and property.
