Archbishop Chukwuma emphasizes forgiveness and reconciliation in Christmas message

Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province in the Anglican Communion, has delivered a Christmas message urging Nigerians to embrace forgiveness and reconciliation in the spirit of Jesus Christ’s birth.

Addressing the congregation in Enugu on Sunday, Archbishop Chukwuma emphasized the importance of letting go of bitterness and fostering unity, urging Christians to overcome divisive elements that threaten Nigeria’s unity.

He highlighted Christmas as a season of hope, reconciliation, peace, and surrendering to God, urging Nigerians to open their hearts to Jesus Christ, embrace a new life, and cultivate peace among themselves.

The Archbishop offered prayers for divine intervention in the nation’s affairs, seeking economic, social, and judicial revival. He specifically called on political leaders to address the prevailing economic challenges and prioritize the welfare of the people.

Archbishop Chukwuma also encouraged the affluent to remember the less privileged during the Christmas season, emphasizing the significance of using their resources to support the poor and needy in society.
