According to the statement, a significant gun battle unfolded on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on January 6, 2024, around 2330 hours, between security forces and a group of armed bandits at the Dogon Fili area. The armed b@ndits attempted to cross the expressway towards the Jere axis, leading to a fierce confrontation with well-prepared security agents. The statement clarifies that the security agents successfully repelled the bandits, causing many of them to escape with gunshot wounds.

The public is called upon to be vigilant and report any individuals suspected of nursing bullet injuries to the nearest police station or security outfit. During the confrontation, six commuters on the highway sustained varying degrees of bullet injuries.
