Rice, a key player for the Gunners, emphasized that his ideal position is as a number six, attributing his strength to breaking up play and retrieving the ball from deep positions on the field.
Speaking to TNT Sports in a post-match interview, Rice stated, “I think my best position is probably as a number 6. My biggest strength is breaking up the play and taking the ball from deep.”
However, Rice also revealed his excitement when playing in a more advanced role as a number eight, a position he occupied during the match against Sevilla. He shared his enthusiasm for showcasing the different aspects of his game, emphasizing his continuous effort to contribute positively to the team.

“I do get excited when I play number eight, though. I get to show the other side of my game. I didn’t stop running tonight! I have just been taking it game by game,” said Rice.
The midfielder expressed his commitment to consistently delivering strong performances and acknowledged that there is still room for improvement. Despite the positive start, Rice looks forward to contributing even more to the team in the upcoming matches.
